Why this bracket?

  • 3 repeatable damage-to-each-opponent sources — a dedicated noncombat burn engine — but the goldfish sim wins around turn 8 (Bracket 2 "Core" pace, ~8+ turns), not the ~6-7 of an Upgraded deck, so this theme engine alone does not floor Bracket 3
  • Borderline verdict — close to B3: noncombat burst finish (Be'lakor, the Dark Master, Warstorm Surge) — a real combo kill that's finite/board-dependent, so the two-card-infinite rule doesn't gate it
  • Noncombat burst finish: scaling burn (Be'lakor, the Dark Master, Warstorm Surge) — finite and board-dependent, so it doesn't trip the two-card-infinite floor, but it's a real combo kill this list is built toward
  • High optimization — score 24/75 (14 interaction spells, 9 card-advantage sources, 2 fast-mana sources) — raises this deck above its hard floor
  • Engine accuracy: 77.1% exact and 99.5% within one bracket on 1,229 organizer-labeled tournament decklists (engine v389).

How it compares

Against the 4 Warhammer 40,000 Commander decks we analyzed, this is the strongest — power 4.4 versus a set average of 4.3. That is about average for the library (4.6 across 174 precons). Its Tipping Point lands on turn 4, the same as the library median.

Upgrade this precon

6 staples this deck does not already run — all legal in Abaddon the Despoiler's color identity, none over $20, and none of them a Game Changer, so none forces a Bracket 3 floor on its own. Adding cards can still move the bracket: paste the updated list back into the calculator to re-check.

Add all 6 to TCGplayer cart — about $22.25
